Richardson Knives

About Ken Richardson

Handmade from Start to Finish Including Leather Sheath

began making knives from old cross cut saws in my spare time from  horseshoeing business around 1990.

In 1975 we moved to Dillard, Mo and setup a forge shop ’ quarter horse ranch to take care of his horses and were others could bring horses to get them shoed.

Still making knives in spare time we lived with our 7 kids in sight of the Dillard Mill where I fashioned a small shop and began making knives which became more and more of a full time job.

soon had to have a ready supply of steel and settled on 1085 spring steel the closest in metallurgy to the old saws. We then found a ready supply of shed deer rocky mountain elk horn
